Q: What’s the difference between VidBlaster Home, Pro, Studio and Broadcast?

A: VidBlaster is available in 4 different editions: Home, Pro, Studio and Broadcast. The difference between these editions is in the number and type of modules that are supported as well as certain advanced features. See the VidBlaster Edition Comparison Table for a complete overview.

Q:What interfaces does VidBlaster support to connect the cameras?

A: To connect your video camera, you can use any interface you like, e.g. firewire, USB or a video capture device like a USB or PCI frame grabber. See this forum post for more details.

Q: Can I use VidBlaster to stream to services like Ustream, Stickam, Justin.tv or Seesmic?

A: Yes you can, and it’s very easy! Every VidBlaster edition supports streaming to whatever service you prefer. Instructions are in the help file.

Q: Will you sponsor my show?

A: Sorry, but I need to make a living too. Besides, there’s already enough word-of-mouth publicity going around. I do however occasionally hand out vouchers for professionally made promos or making-of-videos, but only after seeing them. Note there's always the free Trial edition.

Q: Is there an educational discount?

A: Not specifically. However if you order more than 5 licenses you do get a discount!

Q: Will there be a Mac OS X version?

A: I will not be doing any work to directly support Mac OS, Linux, Mono, or any other platform. I prefer to focus on the best quality and support for the Windows platform. You can run VidBlaster in Windows on a Mac though. Check out the support forum if you have any questions.
